General Information

     The Musical Cultural Association "Antonio Vivaldi" in collaboration with the "Aprilov - Palaouzov" 1861 Community Centre are organizing the 2nd International Choir Festival of Gabrovo and the 2nd International Choir Competition "Antonio Vivaldi", which will be held between 22 and 24 of June 2012 in Gabrovo - Bulgaria. This choir event is organized for the second time in Gabrovo under the umbrela of the rich in history and experience on organizing choir events of the Musical Cultural Association "Antonio Vivaldi". The participation in Choir Competition “Antonio Vivaldi” is not obligatory for the choirs that choose to participate in the Choir Festival of Gabrovo. In addition, the choirs that intend to participate to the Choir Competition are not obligated to perform obligatory works. The organizing Committee of the Festival and the Competition in collaboration with local hotels and restaurants, provide luxurius yet economic accommodation packages, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.       The 2nd International Choir Festival of Gabrovo and the 2nd International Choir Competition "Antonio Vivaldi" are part of a long-lived cultural course in the field of choir music. The latter has been organized in Karpenisi - Greece for over 25 years while the former is organized for the first time in collaboration with the "Aprilov - Palaouzov" 1861 Community Centre of Gabrovo.The days of the Festival, the city of Gabrovo is expected to become a pole of attraction, culture and tourism as more than 500 to 600 friends of the choir art (conductors, choir members, orchestra musicians, escorts, etc) are expected to visit the city of Gabrovo . In the long-lived course of the Choir Festival and the Choir Competition “Antonio Vivaldi” the organization is under the Musical Cultural Association “Choir of Karpenisi Antonio Vivaldi” while, Professor George Xenakis is the artistic director and president of the organizing committee.

      It should be noticed that the Musical Cultural Association "Antonio Vivaldi" is additionally organizing the 16th International Choir Festival of Karpenisi and the 10th International Choir Competition "Antonio Vivaldi" between 30 June and July the 3rd in Karpenisi, Greece.
